Who can apply?

Anyone who works with Canadian business owners, such as accountants, bookkeepers, consultants, POS and IT providers, and sales professionals. Every application is reviewed individually and approval is not guaranteed.

When is the $200 referral fee earned?

Only when the business you referred is approved and activated as a GT Payments merchant and the program’s qualification requirements are met. A submitted lead or a merchant application on its own does not qualify. Each qualified referral is paid once.

How are Sales Partner commissions and residuals set?

Individually, during onboarding. Your commission and monthly residual terms are written into your partner agreement. There is no standard published rate, and no level of earnings is guaranteed.

How and when are partners paid?

Monthly. Eligible amounts are reviewed, reconciled and approved by our team before each payout. Your agreement sets out payment timing and method.

What if two partners refer the same business?

Our team reviews each case individually, using the referral records on file, and records the decision. Your referral link remembers a business for 90 days after they click it, and you can also submit a referral directly in the portal.

How do I track my referrals and sales?

Approved partners get secure access to the partner portal: your referral link, the status of every lead and merchant, and your payout history in one place.
